This little EP is to hope to be able to give something to an organization that moves me; Baltimore Ceasefire.

It's a small, odd sketch of this time, of the unrest of our world in 2020, made in Covid isolation at home by myself (no fancy recording here).
I did include one track made before Covid, recorded with other people, because that's what I love to do best, and one of the vital things that's missing in our lives these days.

I was on tour this winter with an amazing van full of women and instruments, including an oven and a jointed ladder, performing an experimental electro-pop opera based on near death experiences centering on the events in my hometown of Charlottesville, Va about this time of year, 2017, called the Near Misses.
We played in Baltimore, had some hours to spend in the Baltimore Museum of Art, and I found a beautiful book; John Clark Mayden's "Baltimore Lives". The cover art is from that book. I would have liked to ask permission, but I don't know how to contact him. I hope he will be pleased that I appreciate his pictures so very much and wanted to let people know about him.
Soon afterwards, my sister let me know about a film that was airing on their local TV in NY called "Sage" (which sadly doesn't seem to be anywhere to share), but it knocked me out. There is a woman in Baltimore who has gathered her community to stop gun violence, honor lives lost to it, acknowledge and help heal those who loved them, and all lives involved. That's all of us. It seems to me that what she's doing is deeply beautiful holy work, and I want to support her in any way that I can.
There is so much to want to give to. I don't have much money to give, but I love the economy of giving music, people supporting music, and each other.
I released the single, "Breathe" within a week of the murder of George Floyd, but I wanted to give it another chance to be of help in this crazy time by expanding it into an EP.
100% of whatever I receive from this EP will go to Baltimore Ceasefire.

    Update Sept 6th, 2020:
We raised $100 for Baltimore Ceasefire!!!
I've sent them the $, and am going to pick another effort to work towards going forward.
Thank you so very much, every one who contributed!
